SUMMARY

 The position is responsible for supporting multiple Commercial Loan Officers; preparing and reviewing loan documentation for all types of loans; review loan files to ensure the completeness of the file and that proper lien position is obtained on all collateral; performing routine and intermediate duties related to loan processing and administration; work daily tracking reports; and maintaining good customer relations.  The position is required to be fully knowledgeable and skilled in all areas of closing loans, and is expected to provide support to less experienced loan servicing specialists and other staff members. Follows policies and procedures; completes administrative tasks correctly and on time; supports the Bank’s goals and values.
 
Assures compliance with all Bank policies and procedures, as well as, all applicable state and federal banking regulations. 
 
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Including but not limited to:
1. Works closely with loan officers, loan operations personnel, lead banks, participants, agents and/or customers to ensure proper loan documentation is prepared and/or provided.
2. Reviews loan files to ensure proper approval was obtained, funding is properly documented, and loans closed are in compliance with state and federal laws.
3. Reviews loan approvals to ensure information is complete; follows up to obtain missing data.
4. Ensures proper lien position is obtained on all collateral  in accordance with approval prior to closing.
5. Prepares loan files and all supporting documentation to be imaged and indexed on Banks imaging system.
6. Orders and inspects preliminary reports (e.g., title, flood, UCC, Secretary of the State, etc.).
7. Assists with insurance policies to ensure proper insurance is received and maintained.
8. Calculates loan pay off amounts for all types of loans.
9. Disburses loan proceeds for loan closings.
10. Conducts account research.
11. Operates computer terminal to process loan activity, determine balances, and resolve problems within given authority.
12. Maintains files, copies, emails and faxes documents.
13. Monitors the collateral addenda and other tickler systems to ensure timely receipt and proper recording when applicable of UCC, Mortgages, Deeds of Trust, Title Policies and other documentation.
14. Assists in cross-training Less experienced loan operations personnel.
15. Creates Checklists and writes procedures for Department.

DUTIES PERFORMED AS A BACK UP TO OTHER TEAM MEMBER(S) 

1. Checks daily work and corrections made in the loan accounting system as necessary.
2. Collects and routs incoming draw requests to authorized personnel to obtain approval.
3. Processes direct and participated loan payments, advances, and adjustments including the downstream portion.
4.  Sets up and maintains credit and collateral files in Bank's imaging system.
5. Accurately boards closed loans on the Bank’s mainframe computer system and loan imaging software system.  
6. Processes paid outs; releases collateral when applicable.
 
KNOWLEDGE AND/OR REQUIRED EXPERIENCE

Working knowledge of loan servicing & documentation.
 Understanding of loan regulations.
